The Quickest Way to Make your Workout a Habit...

Today I wanted to talk about what is helping me make my workout a daily habit. We are all creatures of habit and the only way to make exercise a regular thing is to make it a habit.

I’ve talked until I’m blue in the face about real results coming from consistency. The consistent habit of moving your body will bring results on its own! The simplicity of this makes it too good to be true, yet it’s the one thing we struggle with!

I used to work out every morning until I found I had more energy, and created more energy for my evening classes, when I did a workout at 4pm. But it depends on your routine and your schedule BUT there’s one thing I know, making your workout and appointment and a part of your schedule will help you create the workout habit.

It may take a few weeks of trial and error to find the right time for you but it’s worth it to maximise your energy for the day and to make it a lifetime habit.

Here’s a few tips to find you daily workout habit time…

  1. Look at your daily schedule and write down possible time you can schedule in that workout. I know that working out longer then 30 mins is not time productive for me and really not what I need. So just 20-30 mins to get yourself moving is enough.
  2. From the times you’ve written down, experiment doing a workout at these times as see which one works best for you. You can get home workouts from 3-30 mins when you become a member of Sweet Petite Fitness on Demand, making it easy for you to delve into shorter workouts if you need to.
  3. Once you’ve found a time that works, SCHEDULE IT IN. Make anyone who may need to know aware that this is your workout time and it cannot be re-arranged. It’s an appointment that will reduce the amount of doctors appointments you will need in life!
  4. Keep experimenting until you find the perfect fit. Stick to it as many times throughout the week as possible and before you know it, it’s something you cannot do without!
