I cannot tell you how many people neglect the power of being hydrated and the wonders it can do not only to kick start weight loss but for your overall health and energy.

Our bodies are made up of mostly water and our cells need water to function properly. If we're dehydrated most of the time it means our bodies can't function or metabolise as effectively as they should.

You will be pleasantly surprised at how just upping your water intake to the recommended amount for your body, how much better you feel. More energised, less lethargic, clear headed...the list goes on.

Not to mention the benefits to kick start your weight loss. You body being able to function and metabolise properly is really all you need to lose weight. Staying hydrated means your body no longer needs to cling to water, which causes you to bloat. Weight loss isn't about starvation or deprivation, its about hydrating and fuelling you body in the right way!

Why not try upping your water, do this simple equation to find out your recommended daily water intake and start to implement it...

 

You weight in lbs / divided by 2 = Your daily water intake in fluid ounces

 

e.g. 140lbs / 2 = 70 fl ounces
